Why is this community for women rather than for everyone?
GITA exists for mutual support and redistribution of resources among women, so access to opportunities, income, and safety becomes more equal.
Women earn on average about 20% less than men while working in equivalent roles. [source]
Around 30-50% of women have experienced sexual harassment at work. [source]
We will be very happy to close this community once social and economic gender equality is achieved. According to the World Economic Forum, at the current pace it may still take about 123 years. [source]
